The customer information of T-Mobile containing PINs, full names, and phone numbers of over 800 customers was hacked in May 2023. Last year T-Mobile stated that personal information like names, emails, and birthdays was stolen from over 37 million customers and claimed that because of the data breach, they might need to bear the expense of $350 Million. T-Mobile because of data breaches and poor security, lost hundreds of millions of dollars and customer trust after multiple breaches.
The parent company of fast food chains such as KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut declared that a cyber-attack occurred in January 2023. This attack initially seemed to affect their corporate data but now they are also cautious about the hacking personal data of employees.
Recently a representative from Yum said that "Based on our review and investigation, we identified the personal information of our employees was exposed in a cybersecurity incident during January. However, there was no indication of the revealing of customer information. This attack resulted in the closing down of around 300 locations in the UK.
Based on a few pieces of research, Bykea's 200 GB worth of database was exposed on an Easticsearch server which could have been accessed by anyone knowing Shodan. The data breach contained more than 400 million records that exposed API logs for Bykea's production server information and personal data of the customers and drivers which included full names, contact numbers, and email addresses.
